Bing Crosby lived here and apparently drank a great deal. Clint Eastwood came to the area and stayed. I grew up nearby and started to come here when I was in my early teens. It’s beautiful but—as my mother said when, after my father’s death there was a question about whether to live there (where she had friends) or go back to San Francisco, she demurred. “It’s too much about money.” Eh, bien.
