“Martin Luther King had a dream. We had a dream, and it was, almost literally it sometimes seemed, a dream of a return to the Garden of Eden. It was a dream reinforced by visions, visions made immensely real through LSD. Because these were shared visions, there seemed little reason to doubt their authenticity. The dream, the vision, was golden. It invoked God in all His/Her forms. It said we should love one another, as we had always been told we should. How radical. And so we all met, and ate, and loved, and traveled, and got high together….”
