The Stones have just finished a new record Beggar’s Banquet. Their last release, Their Satanic Majesties Request, came at the peak of acid mania: on the cover the Stones are pictured wearing capes and surrounded by castles and crescent moons on a cover reproduced as if in three dimensions. “Far out,” we said.
