Reports came into the tent of trouble earlier in the day. A Hell’s Angel had knocked out Marty Balin. Sam Cutler – who’d been awake all night trying to bring this thing off – made the point to the Hell’s Angel that there wasn’t going to be a concert if they kept knocking out the singers. The Hells Angel said, “He fucking insulted my people.”
