Peter Asher, once head of Apple Records’ Talent Division, where he signed James Taylor, and, prior to that, as “Peter” of Peter and Gordon (World Without Love”), had moved to Los Angeles taking James Taylor with him. Peter, who at first appears so shy that he may hesitate to ask you for the time, somehow successfully managed to ask various record companies for the millions of dollars that become due to the artists he manages and produces (James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt). Also with Peter had gone Chris O’Dell, of “Apple Pisces Lady” fame (Leon Russell), from Tucson, Arizona (The Beatles, “Get Back”). Chris is friends with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, a sweet and soft-spoken American lady Chris is immensely solicitous of everyone’s well-being except, of course, her own.
